The Glasgow 12U squad suffered its first setback of the tournament on Day 3, with a 15-14 marathon game loss to Campbellsville. The team came back on Day 4 and beat Marion County 16-6 with the help of a pair of home runs by Carson Beckham. Campbellsville remained undefeated in the pool play games with a 15-3 win over Boyle County on Tuesday.
Adair County, which is also 3-1, plays Glasgow at 7 p.m. tonight at Beaver Creek Park in Glasgow. This is the final day of pool play. The semifinal games will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday.
After four days of action, Campbellsville is 4-0; Glasgow and Adair are each 3-1; Washington County and Boyle County are each 1-3 and Marion County is 0-4.
In 10U games, Glasgow lost to Marion County 5-4. The blue and white squad rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game, but Marion pushed across the plate the winning run in the bottom of the inning.
After four days of play, Washington County is 4-0, while Marion is 2-1; Glasgow and Boyle County are each 1-2 and Adair County is 0-3. Glasgow plays Adair today at 5 p.m. at Beaver Creek Park.
